SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Families, Staff, and Friends of Brooks County ISD:
It is with deep gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility that I step into the role of Interim Superintendent of Brooks County Independent School District. This district is more than a place where I work. It is my home. As a graduate of Brooks County ISD and a lifelong member of this community, it is truly an honor to serve the families, staff, and students who make this district so special
Brooks County ISD has a proud tradition rooted in strong relationships, high expectations, and a genuine commitment to students. That tradition is sustained by our educators, staff, families, and community partners, who show up every day to support our schools. Together, we create a culture that values academics, fine arts, athletics, FFA, UIL academics, and most importantly, the well-being and growth of our students.
My commitment is to ensure stability, clarity, and forward momentum as we continue our work. I believe excellence is achieved when we work together with trust, transparency, and shared purpose. A positive school culture is not defined by any single program or initiative. It is reflected in how we support one another, how we serve students, and how we uphold our collective responsibility to prepare every learner for college, career, and life.
I look forward to strengthening our partnerships, listening to our community, and continuing the work that moves Brooks County ISD forward. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our schools.
Please feel free to reach out to me at rgarcia@bcisd.us or contact my assistant, Cheryl Charles, at 361-325-8001 to schedule an appointment.
