The Special Education Department is dedicated to fostering inclusivity by providing exceptional opportunities for students with disabilities or special needs to actively engage in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. These carefully crafted activities are meticulously tailored to unlock the fullest potential of each individual student. A comprehensive array of services is readily available to cater to the requirements of children who are enrolled in the program or have been recommended for potential inclusion across the entire Brooks County ISD system.
The State of Texas officially acknowledges a spectrum of disabilities, which encompass Autism, Auditory Impairment, Vision Impairment, Developmental Delay, Emotional Disturbance, Cognitive Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairment, Specific Learning Disabilities, as well as Speech and Language Impairment.
